What great week of weather! I hope it continues through Easter weekend.
Here's what was noteworthy this week:
We were able to send financial assistance to Agape Flights, the American Red Cross, World Vision, and Compassion International totaling $27,147. Thank you, CBC church family, for your generous support to our CBC Emergency Relief Fund for Haiti.
Here's what's happening this weekend:
Men's Breakfast is tomorrow from 8 AM to 9 AM. We will hear the story of one our men who had a near-death experience as a police officer. Come early to visit.
CBC will be selling La Mai coffee at church. We will be selling La Mai for $10 per 16-oz bag, both whole bean and ground. All proceeds go to supporting HOPE and its partner, Rahab Ministries, in its efforts to fight child prostitution in Thailand. This Sunday is the last Sunday of this promotion.
The Palm Sunday event is Sunday, March 28, at 5:30 PM. Dinner, music, baptisms, and fellowship. There's no cost to attend, but donations are appreciated. Childcare is provided. There will be no Good Friday service this year.
Registration for the Women's Weekend, April 23-24, (FKA Women's Retreat) will continue Sunday. Information has been posted to the website.
Here's what's coming up next at CBC:
Our annual Easter Picnic is Saturday, April 3. There will be games, an egg hunt, and CBC Families will be selling hot dogs to raise funds for their ministry.
Easter Services will be at 6:45, 8:30, 10, and 11:30 AM. There will be no Sunday School for kids during the first service. There will be Sunday School for kids birth through Kindergarten only during the other services. The sunrise service will be outside, so bring a blanket, lawn chair, umbrella, and anything else for the outdoors.
Baby Dedications are April 18. Call the church to reserve a spot.
The Women of Faith conference is August 20-21 and we've got a deal on tickets. Go here for info.
